Danny's Story
Life
Well, I had the best years of my life at Virginia Tech where I was active in a fraternity (Beta Theta Pi), in publications and student government and met so many wonderful friends. I studied as an actuary, worked in New Jersey and then Winston-Salem. I took up backpacking and hiked in the Wyoming Rockies, Oregon and Washington Cascades and the Sierra as well as many trips to the Appalachians. I got married in 1984 and have 2 great sons, one who plays club soccer all over the east coast. I am happily divorced...Expand for more
now and have a great job as the risk manager for an insurance company in Greensboro and that takes me to many interesting places around the world. My favorite pasttimes are going to my sons' soccer games, working out, gardening and backpacking. My mom still lives in Danville and my dad in Reidsville, so I get back there occassionally. Used to see some of my classmates around town during the holidays, but we probably wouldn't recognize each other now! I am in great health and never went bald!! Hurray!! Life is Good.
