Daren's Story

The question is: How do you hope others will remember you? I really don't care how others remember me at this stage in my life. What matters to me is how I feel about my self. If I took the time to worry about what others think of me, I would never get anything new done in my life. Yesterday is gone, only my memories and lessons learned will remain with me until I die. I try to concentrate on today and not put too much stock in tomorrow, because tomorrow may never come. I believe that I will leave this scene receiving as much from it as I contribute to it, so in the end it will all balance out. The love I take is equal to the love I make. All I really want to do is make today the best day of my life, and if I happen to wake up tomorrow, I'll just do it all over again. That's my plan. And I want to be sure to tell the people that I love how important they are to me everyday, never taking anyone for granted, otherwise I'll find soon that they are gone. When people tell me something, I just listen to what they have to say, it might be my only chance ever to respond. And if they need it, I just give them a hug and tell them I love them. I give my cat hugs too, because he loves me, and has feelings like everyone else does. My life is a momentary illusion based on a complex set of factors...please don't try to figure me out, just try to enjoy me while I'm still here, because like everything else, I have a beginning and an end, and my end could come at anytime, and so could yours. I always wanted to be a bum when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. I blow off steam by playing guitar. What is the wildest thing I ever did in high school? Well, I spent my senior year at Ygnacio Valley High School (I transfered there in my sophmore year to take music classes that College Park didn't offer). At the Homecoming Game at Miramonte High School, I pulled my pants down and "mooned" the entire cheerleading squad. Last time I saw the head of the cheerleading squad, she asked me "Daren, have you shaved your hairy butt yet?" If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have lots of money, get to set my own hours, and not have to report to anyone other than the owner to be able to deal with the day-to-day. My hero is Les Paul. He was the greatest guitarist of all time in my opinion. If I am ever just half the guitarist he was, I will have reached heights that very few guitarists will ever know. Where have I lived? Well, I lived next to Strandwood Elementary School until I graduated from high school, then I moved to Los Angeles and attended Santa Monica College and got a break working for a company that created software for Steve Jobs during his NeXT Project. I got to hang out with Steve Jobs one time, just him and my self, and that was back when he still had hair (and wasn't working for Apple either). Very few people can say they have done that one. My obsession is alternate universes. I believe we live in a physical universe, but there is another world we actually originate from, and we come from different worlds usually, that's why we are not all the same. Life doesn't turn out the way we expect it usually, but that is okay, because the way we expect it to be is based on an uninformed immature mind.....once your mind has expanded, and your soul has matured, you realize whatever you have is EXACTLY what you were meant to have. Then it's up to YOU to deal with it. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel my garage and add on a world class music studio. My dream home would be Abbey Road Studios in London, England. Wow....I can't even begin to comment on my parents....I will save this paragraph for another day and time when I have like a year to tell you why they were the best people I have ever met (and probably WILL ever meet). The best teacher I ever had was a music teacher I had at Pleasant Hill Intermediate named Miss Venti. I actually talked to her on the phone a few weeks ago, she is like 60 years old now, and STILL teaching the kids at a local middle school. You know...we need more people like Miss Venti if we hope to save what is great about ou...Expand for more
r public school system. All public school teachers deserve a big THANK YOU! If I won $100 million, I'd give 99 million of it to the Humane Society, then spend the rest on making a music studio, helping musicians and teaching children that they should live life to the fullest and pursue their dreams no matter what the cost might be. I lived in a tiny dorm in Houston Texas when I attended a small private bible college. I was 22 at that time, and I was an active Christian artist (I had a #3 christian single that year on mp3.com which has since gone commercial). The dorm room was the size of a jail cell, but I didn't mind because the people that I met there were very dedicated, and honest. I wish ALL Christians could be like the Christians I met in Houston at that tiny bible college (the name of the college was Midwest Bible College just so you know). To be truly happy you ask? Well, I AM truly happy at least for my self, but I cry everyday when I hear about the struggles of others. Why can't people just allow others the RIGHT to be themselves and pursue their dreams? I want to just say, I believe that homosexuals DESERVE fair and equal treatment, even though I am not gay, but tell me, why shouldn't gays be allowed to marry each other? If you are not gay and you are married, tell me why marriage is important to you....THEN tell me why you don't believe that GAYS deserve what you have also? If you don't support gay marriage and you are married (and heterosexual) then DON'T YOU THINK YOU ARE A HYPOCRITE? Really now...think about it. I know you will tell me that "Homosexuality is a sin"...hey...the Bible says "Judge not lest you be judged" so...if you want to start being God and saying what's right and wrong....then I think I get the right to start telling you why YOU are WRONG!!!!!!! My current age is 44. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be RICH. I was so completely RIGHT! I NEVER work hard...I have learned to work EFFECTIVELY...I make over $200 an hour on average........ What happened to my first crush? I found out later on that she was a lesbian. But that's okay....I just didn't have my GAYDAR up for her..... My best friend would tell you I'm a crazy F-ing lunatic, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as a crazy F-ing lunatic! Do I still dress like I did as a 20 year old? No, I dress like a FIVE YEAR OLD!!!!!! The WEIRDEST JOB I EVER HAD? That must be when I was a telemarketer in college, at a photo studio in Northridge California.......I still remember the "SCRIPT" they had us read....."Hey!!!! You're a winner!!!! Yeah...you just won some family photos at 90 percent off!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Now may I set up a studio session for you and your family? You only have to pay $20, not the usual $200. ISN'T THAT AWESOME!!!!!!!! YOOO HOOOO!!!! YAY!!!! YOU'RE A WINNER!!!! (CLICK!) I now share my home with two chihuahuas and a cat, which I find very intelligent (more intelligent than most humans) and better friends than any of you ever were. You ask me, do I have a trophy or some kind of award to show for my life? Yeah...I have a gold record on my studio wall..... If I got one "Do-over" I would tell them I don't want it...because I wouldn't change a single second of my life........... In 10 years, I hope to be either doing what I do now or dead. I'm going to get there by just doing what I do naturally. My oldest friend? Well, it's a SHE, and she lives next door, I won't give you her name or the details because I respect her privacy...but the man she married is my best friend now.... What about ME would surprise me at my high school reunion? Well....how much YOUNGER I look than the rest of you. WHAT'S UP WITH THAT? You all look OLD....and I still look YOUNG? Why is that? Tell me please..... My first job was at McDonald's, where I got paid $3.35/hr to make hamburgers. What I remember most about it was how it was a F-CKED UP JOB!!!!!!!!!! (I still eat Big Macs sometimes though). Now I hope you know me......if you think I'm insane then join the club, but if you understand what I'm saying...then drop a note....... Peas to the whirled.... Daren
