Darin's Story
June 2008 - Tracy and I married in January, 1982, in our 11th grade year. Justin was born July 18th, 1982, and was the brightest, best kid you could ask for. We did it again 8 years later, having our second son (Garrett). We also became the legal guardian of Tracy's 2nd cousin, also named Justin, in 1998 after the death of his mother. So we have 3 sons, two by birth and one by assumption. All 3 have been great kids. Justin married in May 2007 to fellow medical student Emily. They are both in medical residency in Indianapolis - Justin in Radiology and Emily in Pediatrics. Justin #2 is a Computer Systems Analayst for a military contracting firm in Norfolk, Virginia and is one of the most entertaining people you will meet. Garrett graduated high school this year and will attend Birmingham Southern College in the fall to study economics. Following JHS, Tracy and I both worked and continued our education whenever possible, with Tracy eventually becoming an EMT and me earning a Master's of Business. clinical drug studies. We continue this now and as our business has grown we have become more deeply rooted in our present location (Anniston, Alabama) and in our work. We hope to grow into additional areas and perhaps relocate back to Atlanta (or other location). I am an avid road cyclist and participate in organized rides or races as time permits. My priority, however, is family, and any time we can spend with these great people trumps anything else on the schedule. Because we started with children early we are also early to have them grown. We miss the days of little league and a life built around children, but have grown to appreciate more the diminishing time we have to spend with them. All of the photos in my album are of trips taken with my kids. I hope to have more to add soon.
After high school, we remained in Jonesboro until 1989, when we moved to the house we built in McDonough. We lived there until 1997 when we relocated to Anniston, Alabama. A perfect Saturday these days would consist of a bike ride, a household project, dinner on the patio, and a movie at home.
