Darleen's Story
After graduating, I attended UWM where I graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I taught for 2 years in Milwaukee and then married Robert Schulte in 1972. I moved to Nebraska where we are now located on his family farm which we run with two of our sons. We have two other boys and one girl. We have 10 grandchildren with another on the way in October. and caring for our kids. Then 16 years ago I went back into the classroom as a substitute teacher. I love it. No planning, report cards or papers to take home and correct!! Just the love of working with students in the classroom. Over the years we have hosted over 30 youth from all over the world. We have traveled around the states, to South America and spent 2 months in Europe with former students, friends and relation. We may live 5 miles outside of a town smaller than our class in number, but we have brought the world to our doorstep
