Darlene's Story
Life:
I went to Houston Baptist Univesity after High School and become a Registered Nurse and received my Bachelor of Science. I have changed a lot from High School. I am very outgoing. I love snow skiing and water skiing. I never hear anything about reunions, because I am never notified. I still live in Houston.
Career:
I love being able to help people. Nursing has given me this avenue. I have 2 wonderful boys. My youngest was just diagnosed last week with medullary thyroid cancer. He has a long haul in front of him for the next three months, but I believe that everything is going to turn out fine. It is a bad thing to be a RN, because you can read between the lines.
I have 2 boxers, 1 basset hound, 1 poodle, 1 parrot and a monitor lizard. Thank heavans I have a large enough place to keep them. I have a beautiful koi pond outside, a turtle pond and a bull frog pond. They are gorgeo...Expand for more
us. They are surrounded by waterfalls, bamboo and beautiful plants. Yhe problem is that this winter were hard on the plants. I am interested to see how many of them will grow back.
I know that like does not turn out the way that you expect it, but my biggest surprise is that when I get through one obstacle there is another one just behind it. I need a break for at least a couple of months.
There was a couple of things that did happen to me that were positive. I received an award from a past president and I am also in whose who in America.
I know people in school might remember me one way, but I feel that so many of them never gave me a chance to know me. I am so outgoing, funny and I am the first one there if anyone needs me.
I hope if any of you find out anything about a reunion you will get in touch with me for I can see all of you again.
