Darla's Story
Life
I am an RN working in Denver, Colo. I fell in love with all of Colorado so I decide to move here. I divorced after 30 yrs. of marriage in 2007. I lived in Tulsa most of my life. I had one child, Scott, and he committed sucide at Christmas 2002. This move to Colo. has been very healing for me. My son did leave 3 boys of his own. They live in Oklahoma. I keep them every summer for 1 week and we have so much fun.
I have made many friends here in Colorado. I love the outdoors, hiking, bike riding and just driving through the mountains. I am happy and healthy and plan on having all the fun I can stand the rest of my life. As a matter of fact, I am having so much fun NOW I can hardly stan...Expand for more
d it. I ballroom dance 1 to 3 times per week. The dancing is very similar to "dancing with the stars". I love wearing the beautiful clothes and shoes, ect. I am always happy and never moody. Life is good!!!!!!
School
Just wish I could do it all over again it was so much fun.
College
Nursing school was one of the most difficult things I have done in life. Made some wonderful friends.
Workplace
Presently working as an RN clinical instructor for 20 doctors offices and their staff. I also teach at the local community college. I still keep my license as a cosmotologist and have in the past sold real estate. I have also been co-owner of my husbands business and have helped him for 25 years.
