Darlene's Story
Well, let me see what has happened over the past 40 years. I'm one of the crazy ones who got married 2 weeks after graduation. It lasted 8 years and I have 2 beautiful daughters, 35 and 32.
After being divorced for a year, I met the love of my life. We married a year later and it is the best thing I've ever done. I had moved to Oklahoma City with my first husband, but life/work would bring me back to Northern VA in 1986. By the time our 5th anniversary rolled aroun...Expand for more
d we were raising 5 kids. Got to say, I loved it. I have worked a variety of jobs, but wife and mother have always been my main job. I was looking for the job with the most flexibility, so I could be totally involved with my kids.
I love to cook and entertain. We try to travel as much as possible. There are now 16 of us, ages 58 to 4, so every family get together is a party.
