Darlene's Story
So what do you do when you get out of high school? Me, I never deviated from my plan. Maybe I should have, but then life would be different than what it is now.
In many ways I am not the same. I am no longer quiet and reserved about speaking up. I think being a mother brought that change about. I also think that for the first time in my life I was really out in the bigger world, surrounded by people with many different ideas than my own or those in my family.

e for who they are without judgement. If more people were of that mind maybe we would all get along.
About 18 years ago I met my husband. We have been married for 17years. Life in a relationship is a challenge. Someone is a part of your life that thinks much differently then you do on things. But it is the work put in that makes it work out. Together my husband and I have 3 living children and lost one due to multipule birth defects. That in and of itself will make or break you.
