Darlene's Story
Sorry, you will have to start with this new profile since I cant remember the info for my original site. WELL, since the new millenium I have been quite busy. I finally decided to go into nursing and start at the bottom level of a new job as a care worker at the Health Department in Poplar Bluff. Unfortunately, a work comp injury prevented me from fulfilling that dream. Also, my back injury was never fixed which has prevented me from getting employment. I have always had a love of photography from childhood and after having people in the business comment on photos I had taken, I decided to give this a try. Since the end of 2004 I have been doing this full time (when my back is good I am out in nature taking photos, when it is not I am resting at home). I also started entering juried art shows in 2005 and to my amazement I have been accepted in over 10 juried show...Expand for more
s and many more non-juried art shows and fairs. I have also been published in the 2006 Missouri Vacation Planner. Since 2005 my photos have been recognized with several awards. I LOVE this new journey and look forward to the path it takes me.
On a personal note, my children are now grown and both are in college. My daughter is a junior studying Fashion Design and my son is a freshman deciding on his major. My daughter has now graduated from college and is looking for employment. My son wasnt ready for college and only went one year but he is working locally.
Well since this has been first published there has been some changes in my personal life. I am divorced n happily living in Benton Missouri which sits halfway between Sikeston and Cape Girardeau. My photography is going well and I have met the guy of my dreams.
