Darlene's Story
Time to update my story : I'm living back in Washington in Hansville (Kitsap County) with a gorgeous view of Hood Canal and the Olympic Mountains that makes me feel blessed every single day. I've been very happily married for almost 13 years to my best friend, Kevyn. We've actually known each other for over 30 years, but the sparks flew after we had gone through divorces from our first spouses.
Life is good. God is good. Between us we have four children: Brady Blake (29), Scott Blake (32), Nicole Brazee (almost 30!), and Brandon Brazee (33). We also have two precious granddaughters - Isabella Louise (Izzy Lou) Blake (6 weeks old!), Brady's daughter with his girlfriend, Valerie Guyot, and Kaitlyn Joy Brazee (4 years old), Brandon's daughter with his wife, Marcie. Finally, more girls!!
After some very serious difficulties with my sons when they were teenagers and young adults, they are finally recovering from past mistakes and I couldn't be prouder of them or love them more if they had graduated with honors from Harvard! Still, I find it best to take everything one day at a time.... and to trust in the Lord with all of my heart. He's perform...Expand for more

In the past I have worked at everything from a school bus driver (when the boys were small) to a Court Clerk, to a marketing specialist for senior communities in Florida. Right now, I am NOT working, but NOT retired, either. I and my sister, Sandy, who also lives over here on the peninsula, care for our 87 year old mother. She has lived with both of us at various times, as well as in her own apartment, but I suspect that she'll be living with one of us for the rest of her life, at this point. She's in good health, but no longer likes living alone. Sadly, my Dad, who I adored, passed away in 2004 from emphysema - a very nasty way to go. So, if you smoke, PLEASE quit!
I love to travel, read, go antiquing, decorate my house, find deals, play the stock market and follow politics. Favorite shows are Swamp People, (Yes!), Deadliest Catch, and Project Runway - also almost anything on HGTV. Still love to laugh, and (unfortunately, some may say), my sense of humor is still as juvenile as always. I also like to keep up with friends on Facebook - would love to connect with anyone from my past. Honest - anyone!
