Darlene's Story
Life has been an adventure since Sunset. I have been married to my husband, James, for almost 35 years. We have 2 wonderful daughters, Karlee and Cari, and 6 of the most adorable grandchildren around. I taught Special Education for about 25 years until 2006. My husband was a Town Manager since college. We were in Iowa Park, Tx for over 10 years, then Neptune Beach, Fla. for 5 years, and on to Hampton, NH for 10 years. He got tired of the politics involved and we decided to get back to our roots. er 3 children moved back to Texas when we did. She only lives a couple of miles from us. Karlee is in Saco, ME. We hope to get her to move back to civilization soon.
James and I made a trip to Ireland last summer. I am not Irish, but I do believe that I could become Irish rather easily. The country is beautiful and the people are easy to get to know. I felt very comfortable there and I would go back in a heartbeat.
I was extremely shy while I was at Sunset, but most people tell me that I have overcome that problem now. I love to be involved in the community and especially with children's programs.
