Darlene's Story
Hey Everyone-
Just a few things about me:
*I graduated from OSU May 4, 1984, after 6 years, with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture
*I did Landscape Maintenance work and continued to play drums for StoneHorse until Feb 1993 for a living
*Married Bobby N. Armstrong, Sr. May 24, 1992
*Started working for Fleming Building Company, Inc. August 30, 1992
*Retired from playing drums for StoneHorse Band after 23 years in February 1993
*Currently play bass for Sixx Gunn Hill (approximately 6 years)
*Went Skydiving (Solo) in 2006--the MOST AWESOME Experience I've ever had--I LOVE IT!!!
*Currently Human Resources Director for Fleming Building Company, Inc. at the Port of Catoosa--have been there 16 years
*Currently involved in assisting in building a race engine for my brother's road course race car--a Corvette
*Continuing a couple of Landscape Maintenance jobs
*Take my Mom weekly to visit my Grandmother in the Nursing Home. Grandma turned 9...Expand for more

*Starting to ride bicycle approximately 12 miles/night again after a long winter
*Starting to walk/jog 3-10 miles/night again
*Starting to workout again--had to lay off due to a surgery
*Have 2 dogs (my kids)--Sitka, a 6 yr old rescue dog from the shelter (Shepard/Collie mix) and Razzi, a 2 yr old Malamute/Heeler/Timber Wolf mix. I love them--they keep me on my toes!
*I'm fortunate enough to still enjoy my Mother, Step-Dad, Brother, Step-Brother and Sister and their families, Grandma, my Dad and Step-Mom, many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins, many friends and a couple of wonderfully special friends, a great job that is close to home, good health and a blessed life.
*My favorite quote (that I look at and try to live by every day) is by a guy named George Eliot is "What do we live for if not to make life less difficult for each other!"
*I'm a good listener and I care about people
