Darneta's Story
Hello fellow classmates. I can't believe that we are celebrating 45 years since graduating from Bassett. I currently live in Las Vegas NV. married to a wonderful man for 16 yeas have one son who will be getting married this September. I am blessed that my younger siblings are all doing well and living in California.
Since graduating class of 67' I had the privilege to served in the US Army for two years, after my service was completed I was accepted into the LA Police Academy but had to put on hold as my father passed away during...Expand for more
that time. Mom sold our home and we moved to Vegas in 83' stayed for about four years and moved back to West Covina so mom could be closer to the kids and grandchildren. In 89 after fighting with diabetes mom again wanted to be in Vegas, (I was not married) so it was easy for me to move. She passed away in 91 and I have made Vegas my home. It's true what they say about moving to Las Vegas, I've had more family and friends want to visit that I can remember having met. Life is Good! God Bless and hope to see you at the reunion.
