Darrell Cannon:  

After high school I attended college for one year at Northwestern University and transferred to University of Iowa in Iowa, Iowa where I got a BS degree in Broadcasting and computer science. During time in Iowa I started my own radio show at the student radio station KWUI called Night Tracks which started off as a student radio station on campus only but quickly moved cable FM then was syndicated. I was the first DJ playing House, dance, and club music with a larger audience than local RB radio station as far away as St Louis. Cable FM was a new emerging market. Was on for 4 years until I graduated from College. Also during this time I directed an all gospel choir for University of Iowa called The voices of Soul and Pledged Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Sigma Chi chapter. During my 4 years of my radio show I had on air interviews with the SOS Band, Al Jaraeu, and legendary Diana Ross. Before leaving Iowa City my show got noticed by Billboard Magazine for my music in midwest and audience. After college moved to Los Angeles worked as club DJ and started doing 12" remixes for Capitol Records and SOFA records. One of the biggest was for an Artist at that time called Pebbles called Mercedes Boy.
