Darrell's Story
College was interrupted by 2 years in the army where I graduated with a degree in Warfare from the University of Vietnam. After college I started a career with FDA in Cincinnati, Ohio, later moving to Toledo, Detroit and finally Milwaukee. As a Food Expert I made 115 trips to 43 countries to inspect for food safety. I found it hard to retire in 2006.
I was married and am the proud father of 2 sons, Michael and David. I'm currently single and still searching for that "one good wo...Expand for more
man" who eludes me.
Retirement life finds me doing consulting work, president of the International Organization of Wooden Money collectors, I am currently writing a Guide Book on Wooden Money, am editor of a monthly newsletter and I'm also vice president of the South Shore Coin Club.
My summers are busy with an orchard, vineyard, flowers and a garden. I can about 150 quarts of fruits and veggies a year.
I have always enjoyed life to its fullest and that goes for retirement too!
