Darrell's Story
I was in Boy Scouts, and achieved the Eagle Scout Award with my good friend Mark Hand, we got Pined on the same night summer 74.
I've gone to the following High Schools: 71-73 Moon Valley High School,
73-spring Santa Monica High School, and 73 to 75 Dos Pueblos High School.
I always wanted to be a jet engine tech when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a Great idea. As it turns out, they were amazed, at my high test scores, the military didn't appreciate my abilities.
I went into the Air Force and wrapped parachutes, got out w/ honorable discharge.
I've moved at least 25 times since high school, mainly around southern california, the hi=desert ( Phelan, Hesperia & Victorville) just from California to Washington and back and back again... I'm was living in Spokane, WA, I am interested in making new friends, and getting to know old friends, too!
I've done some traveling just around the north west, I like Hawaii, and Maui.
When things get tense I blow off steam by going around the block, walking or riding my bike. And, sometimes I just get away from the situation so I can Analise it, look at it from a different perspective and work it out logically.
Presently, I own a sign & graphics business. I enjoy being a creator of magnificent and n...Expand for more
ot so signage. I have started this business in july of 1988 in hesperia, ca and migrated it to spokane, wa. I also, do winter snow removal at which I really enjoy the hard work, the balance of using my brain and my muscle.
Before this great adventure, I've owned several other businesses in and around the Los Angeles Area, one of which I really enjoyed doing was Vinyl Repair and Upholstery Business, I mainly worked in Restaurants and the Automotive Industries. I enjoyed sales, service and meeting new and exciting people. Marina Del Rey, Santa Monica, Malibu and all around the lower so cal area, I did a lot of traveling.
My first job was at Sambos restaurants, where I got paid 2.13 hr to wash dishes. What I remember most about it is this job taught me the finer skills as I moved up to be a chef, and how a business runs and that most everything depends on people and how you get along with them, good, bad or indifferent, how you treat them, and how you want them to treat you, its the same old story.. I Trained last year to be a welder ( I presently have my 3 & 4G and I am working to get my 6G Certs in welding ) and dreamed of working in the oil fields making big money!
Walking around the block, swimming and watching a great movie is a great way to unload.
