Darrell's Story
After school I enlisted in the Air Force. Spent 4 years there including one tour in Viet Nam. Had plans to marry so did not re-enlist as I felt another tour in SE Asia was a distinct possibility. Ended up working for the phone company. At that time I was a volunteer firefighter. Decided to go full time until retiring in 1995. Retired from Tarpon Springs,FL to Tennessee where we had some property. a in 2000 and that is where we are to this day. My interests have always been in the area on auto racing. I crewed for several years and took a Nascar drivers schoool. That was one of the greatest thrills as far as racing is concerned. We are huge fans of Nascar's David Reutimann (#00) as we lived in the same town in Florida as he. In fact our sons went to high school with David, my wife worked with his uncle, and I was friends with his father Buzzie. Today we garden some and my latest venture is building a greenhouse with the intention of rasing hydroponic vegetables.
