Darren's Story
It's been over a year since I updated this and I'm sure you're dying to know the latest details of my life. If you missed my previous story it's probably just as well because it made it painfully obvious just how strange I am and how little I've matured since high school; fortunately I've never aspired to being normal or mature. If you were offended by it I apologize, on the other hand no one complained so if you came here expecting to be offended and were disappointed I apologize for that too. Ahhh the change a year can make, if not in circumstance at least in attitude. I realized the main reason for visiting this site (for me at least) is to keep tabs on former classmates without the danger or annoyance of actually interacting with them. To accommodate that I decided to fill you in on some of the things you might want to know. As you can see from my before and after pictures I have more weight and less hair, what's left is rapidly turning gray. By the way, I dare you to post "your" prom picture. Everybody's busy, myself included, so here's the important stuff:
Status: Married to Violette (Brasmiester) DeSantis, 20 years this July.
Pets and Kids: Two birds, three cats, and three of the most adorable little girls you've ever seen, they're now 3, 5 & 11. They are so adorable in fact that I believe they'll have more than enough suitors without plastering their pictures all over the web, so you'll have to take my word for it.
Resume: Mechanical engineer, working for the DOD for 20+ years. I won't explain exactly what I do. No, I wouldn't have to kill you if I did but ...Expand for more
it could bore you to death and/or get me fired.
Where am I? At home in the suburbs of Philadelphia whenever possible.
What do I do in my spare time? When I'm not traveling for work, going to my daughters softball games, concerts, and plays, changing diapers, helping with homework, grocery shopping, laundry, and housework, making home, toy, bike, and auto repairs, doing yard work...what was the question again?
Favorite TV: I don't get to watch it very much; it's usually on QVC, Jay Jay the Jet Plane, or iCarly.
Favorite Music: There's everything from Chopin to Red Hot Chili Peppers on my MP3 player (no it's not an ipod), but for some reason U2's "Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of" comes to mind, especially the acoustic version from their 7 EP.
I hope this satisfies your curiosity, if it doesn't you really need to get out more. But if that's not an option you can also visit me on flicker, LinkedIn, MyLife, and Facebook. Just Google my name or my alias MPS21877 to find me.
Violette's a work-from-home mom and she would enjoy it if you visit her sites (and her advertisers); you can find links to all of her sites at hubpages dot com, profile Violette DeSantis.
Whether we were friends or not in school, I can't think of anyone I wouldn't want to hear from so if you're ever in Philly, need a favor, or just feel like getting back in touch, don't be afraid to contact me, I'm not hard to find.
