Darren's Story
School
Ms Davis--Thank you for being the driving force and for pushing me to the limit. I am now tri-lingual. English/French/Polish. My German is a bit rusty. It is nice to have a teacher believe in you, when you do not believe in yourself. I owe most of my success to you. Thanks, again.
As for high school crushes, well lets just say English class was always my favorite class to go to due to the person sitting behind me--and you know who you are.
Workplace
Hey, all. I have finally left the medical profession to take on full time my coffee house in Dallas. Nodding Dog Coffee--Better than Starbucks, this location features 1600 sq ft with outdoor seating-local artists work displayed on the walls, and live entertainment on Fri/Sat nights featuring local and national bands. Also a wireless cafe, so if you are in the Dallas metroplex area, bring your laptop and enjoy a great cup of java.--The ...Expand for more
deli sandwiches are a treat from the heavens. See everyone at the 20th.

Military
Assigned to basic training in Fort Dix , New Jersey in February 1987 (bad idea)--frozen testicles are not a fun thing to have. From there I went to Defense Language Institute in Monterey , Ca where I learned polish--which really came in handy when transferred to Ft Huachuca , Az--did not realize how many poles were living there. Then it was off to sunny Ft Hood , Texas---gotta love that place, where you have nothing but hookers, and hookers, and hookers, and oh did I mention the occasional hooker. A single man's paradise--and a good place to get penicillin.
I have since left the army and am residing in Dallas, Tx. Loving every minute of this great city. Sometimes I miss my army buds, but hey--we can always have a reunion at the next war. Until then, who knows???
