Darren's Story
Hello to all who have ventured this far into my profile and are interested enough to see what's happened to me since High School.
During my junior year at MD, I had some pretty serious family problems. I rebelled against my parents and purposely failed out of MD. Looking back, it wasn't the smartest thing I've ever done, but the best decision I was qualified to make at the time. Also not the dumbest thing I've ever done in my life. More about that later...
I finished my senior year at OV on time and with credits to spare. No small feat considering the 3 years of religion credits I had to make up, as OV didn't honor them.
After HS I enrolled and GWC and worked full time at the pool store. Remember the Clear Water truck everybody. I ended up leaving both to take a job with a small computer company. I delivered and serviced dedicated word processors. This machine weighed 130lbs and cost $16k. Can you believe how far we've come?
I stayed with the computer thing for 20 years. I received a computer electronics degree from CDI. I did everything from field service to network administration to UNIX administration to MCSE to Design Engineer of a Web Hosting / Email platform to management of that platform to owning and operating my own company providing turnkey UNIX systems.
After 20 years and running the gambit in the computer world, I was burnt out and looking for something new. In 2004 the real estate market was booming so I acquired my license and have been a real estate consultant ever since.

tty hard through my twenties and early thirties. I had a lot of fun, spent a ton of money but nothing really to show for it. In 1990 I moved to San Diego. SD is by far the best place I have ever lived. In my thirties, I met a woman and had a daughter. The relationship didn't work out but I have a fantastic, wonderful daughter "Elizabeth". In 2000 I moved to Vegas. I met and fell in love with an awesome, gorgeous, smart, incredible woman "Sheryl". We were married in 2003. In 2007 she blessed me with our son "Logan". I know, I'm a little old to have a new baby running around the house. But he keeps me young and there is no way I feel my age.
As far as hobbies go. I play tennis and golf. I love to go camping, hiking and fishing. There's nothing like being up in the Sierra's away from everything and everybody. I follow the Chargers and the Padres. On the weekends, after my honey doos are done, I enjoy kickin' it out by the pool or watching sports on the big screen and knockin' back a few Fosters. Australian for beer mate.
I am now living in a small rural town called Pahrump. Pahrump is 45 miles west of Vegas in the next valley over. My family and I live in a modest home on an acre of land. No curbs and gutters. No Street lights. You should see the stars. It's terrific here.
Well, that about raps it up. You're all caught up. I hope everyone has led a life as enriched as mine. Yes, there have been some bumps along the way but they've made me who I am today. I'm an extremely happy man with great family and friends.
