Darryl's Story
After graduation, got a baseball scholarship to the University of Detroit. Second year ruptured my UCL and that was it for baseball, no Tommy John surgery then. Hung around majoring in girls, beer and other things school wasn’t doing anything for me and I dropped out. Went to technical school to study surgical technology, married a nice girl from Grosse Ile who I didn’t deserve That marriage produced three wonderful kids, but after 15 years it ended. Met a girl 12 years my junior and fell hard. After two years, single again.

room where I met Katie, my third and final wife. We have traveled the world together and have been together 31 years. She is truly my soul mate and best friend. In January 2001 she took a job in Nashville, I stayed behind and finally joined her in April. She was a VP in supply chain for HCA and I was working as a surgical sales rep. We enjoyed our 20 years in Tennessee met lifelong friends who became family, but after retirement we sold the house and came back to the sunshine state in Ft Myers. We spend our time traveling, enjoying SW Fl and our Golden Retriever Harley. Still keep in touch with my best friend Glen Osborn. We have been friends for 52 years.
