My friends called me Ratt, short for Rademacher (Rad..e..maker = Rat..ta..maker). Grease or Frat? Ya! I was a greaser. Today, Im still a happily married man of almost 43 years (WOW! 12-13-69), I met my wife (Joy) in 1968 cruising through Tele-a-Ways, located on Grand River & Telegraph Rd. Got married on December 13th,1969 (Friday the 13th, ya! I planned it). We have 2 children, one boy,41 (1971) and one daughter,39 (1973) My daughter has blessed us with 2 beautiful grandchildren, one boy (Daniel 5-28-96)), now 16, who still loves hockey (Midget "A" Travel) he plays for Westland, and one girl (Briana 2-18-94) she is 18, and still loves being a girl. Both are the loves of my live, and keep grandpa (me) very active. I was drafted into the army on May 28, 1966. I went to Viet Nam in Nov. of 1966, was wounded in April of 1967, spent almost a year in the hospital. About a year after I got home from the military I went to work for GM (Detroit Diesel) (Jan. 18,1969). On April 1, 2009 I sadly Retired from GM after 42 years. MY health is still very good and I still feel like a kid. Ya! I still think of all the good, bad, and ugly times I had at Redford High. Rudys was the hang out in the morning, and Chapel Street, .... Well! how do you forget that street? For those of you who know me and my family, I'm sorry to say that my dad had passed away on Sept. 28, 2002 (87). My older brother David (class of 63') , and my sisters Donna (class of 64'), Diane (class 0f 67?), and Debbie (class of 72') are all alive and well. WOW! where did all the time go?? (47 years! since I graduated in 1965). It seems like yesterday in my mind. Class of 65'. ........
