Daryl's Story
Life
I graduated from DUKE U in 1980. I Lived the nations capital, Washington DC aka "the Chocolate City," from 1980 to 1986. Whereupon, I moved back to California in 1986 and stayed put on the west coast (Kali) until 1998. I gave birth to my most precious gift in life, my son, Austin Cole Towns, in February, 1995. I worked off and on in Accounting/Administration in either advertising or the I/T industry from college until present. I also pursued many other interest, including; culinary, modeling, fashion, business, performing and transportation. I moved around to see what cities fit me best from 1998 until present; living the majority of those years in Las Vegas, NV. s Vegas to Austin, TX - loved the city, but the TE position did not fit me well at all. Luckily, I already had a foot in the door for another position of which I was more interested in pursuing. And when they called, I rid myself of the IRS and I moved on. I currently work as a Bus Operator for Capital Metro. Probably one of the more challenging jobs I have held, but for a GREAT company. Yep, I have a CDL. Austin, my son, currently lives with his Dad. And me, I'm doing fine; living as a single person, training to operate a bus safely and exploring unlimited business opportunities and lifetime possibilities.
