Daryl's Story
Life
I have been up to a lot since high school.I was in a show band and toured Canada. I had my own band and traveled the northwest, then stayed in Spokane and had a local, light travel band. Even bought and ran my own nightclub in Moses lake, Wa...until Mt St. Helens. That brought every thing to an abrupt halt and had to start over. Also, have been in retail/business management for the last 30 years.Lived in Texas, Colorado, Sante Fe, New Mexico, California, Canada, (Spokane, of course), and now , Great Falls,Montana. I was in management with Wal Mart and got transferred here. Now, I have my own karaoke business, and enjoy that, and living in Montana with my wife. I do come home to Spokane whenever I have the chance. I have one daughter and two "GREAT" grandsons. My family still lives in Spokane. I always seem to come back to Spokane. I do love it, except the traffic, but, the area is great for fishing, swimming, camping, hunting, or, just going for a drive and showing the sites to friends from other parts of the country.
Update: While living in Montana, I have lost my mother, dad, one grandson and my one and only child..my daughte...Expand for more
r. I have since moved back to Spokane to spend my time with my one and only grandson and my two brothers. I would like to hook up with old friends, or make new ones. Life goes on.
UPDATE: In May of 2012, I got married again...to a West Valley Alum. I married Ginnie Schmidt, class of "69. It is odd, we both went to West Valley, had the same circle of friends, passed each other in the hall..but, had no classes together. We knew OF each other, never spoke with each other. Ginnie contacted me on Face Book to get together and have coffee and catch up. We have been together ever since. We have also reconnected with a lot of our high school friends in the last couple years. Hope to catch up with some more.
Turned 65 in April......Wow!!!!.....semi-retired.....lol....yeah, right.....I am still running my own karaoke business.....I am also a softball umpire for high school and summer league adult and and girls fast pitch softball,,,,,,working part time a convenience store......a member of Inland Empire Hot Rod Association....spend one day a week with my Grandson...also have a new Grandson on my wife's side of the Family. Life is good.
