Darylen's Story
Hello all,
For those of you who don't know, I did marry that guy I was dating when I was in high school, Alfred P. (Hap) Cote - still one of the most decent, nicest people I know. We were married in 1971. We have two (now adult!) children: Shane and Shanin. Shane and his wife, Erin, are in the process of adopting a baby girl.

mily planning as an educator and school health consultant. In 2001 I earned my master's degree in Educational Leadership and I now direct an Upward Bound program at the University of Maine at Presque Isle.
Like most other folks, we've had our ups and downs. Currently Hap is battling lung cancer, so our days are filled with doctors and chemo and hope and fear. Hap, as always, maintains his sense of humor and his cheerful nature.
