Dave's Story

I live in Fredericksburg, Virginia and married Carla Green in 2008. After Keystone Oaks HS, I graduated from Penn State and Southern Illinois Universities. I formally retired a second time on 31 Dec 2017 after spending nearly 18 years with CALIBRE, an employee owned company in Northern VA. So my work career spanned 22 years in the US...Expand for more
Air Force and 25 years supporting US Army projects as a contractor. I lived in Michigan, California, Texas (3 times), Ohio, Washington DC, Kuwait, Afghanistan, and finally grew some roots in Virginia. Carla & I built a home on 4+ acres and moved in June 2018. We hope to do some serious RV traveling in the years to come. Happy 2019 KO.

Breaking Ground for our new home on 13 Jan 2018; first trees coming down.
A little rain, then snow slowed down framing March 20-22nd. Oh well, not much of a winter until April hit with a heavier winter's punch!!
The snow melted and the framing was finished up on 23 March. Now we're making progress.
Roofing work in-progress. Windows & house wrap done - 29 March.
30 April - found the driveway was taking shape; think I'll have enough paved area for a runway when it's all said & done!!!
2018_05_07 - What a surprise on Monday morning; the siding was installed over the weekend. Lookin good!!!
2018_05_08 - Masonry stone work started today. Getting excited about the move-in next month. The inside drywall was painted this past weekend too! Do these guys ever take a break?
