Dave's Story
On exiting NC, I went to JC in Maine, got an AA and booked to CA which seemingly offered more than Maine, at least early on... The left coast offered a diversity not found in early 70s new england. On a whim, I returned east, 4,773 miles on my 10 speed, most of it on the TransAmerica Trail (est. in 1976, when I went)--it was fun, yet never to be repeated. A variety of hats & jobs, from demolition estimator in SF after 1989 to Aerospace sales & technical writing more recently.

odlands (Sonora) is pending a zero energy home with indoor-to-outdoor pool (75'x6'x4.5'D) which should maintain 78 degrees yrly, a passive and active solar symbiosis. Finishing a couple homes in SW FL this winter, back to the Sierra foothills for summers. Nova Scotia is another spot I want to check out. Never missed NC, outside of some awesome high school sweetpeas, a few fishing holes and violating SO. CT's reservoirs. Where it not for the Sierra, CA would long ago expired in my rearview. Sailing, fishing, writing and organic gardening flesh out my otherwise sleepy existence, yahoo.
