Dave's Story
Graduated in 1989 and was driving out of town in my black Suzuki Samari when I heard the final bell ring (this means that I musta skipped class??). I drove to Klamath Falls, Oregon, to visit my father and didn't move from there for another 11 years.
From 1989-2000 I worked as a stand-up comic, radio host (dj/talk show), and wrote comedy for NBC. During this time, I tried out for the Atlanta Braves and Seattle Mariners 6 times, but to no avail. I took up the sport of handball in 1990 and eventually went pro (qualifying for the first time in the mid 90's, ...Expand for more
ranked #16 according to the World Pro Handball Rankings in 2006) after winning the 1997 Oregon Open State Singles Championships.
I moved from Klamath Falls, Oregon to Redding, CA in June of 2000 where I was hired at a 6-station radio cluster as the Director of Operations. In 2004 I moved to Nevada City, CA and formed the World of Pro Handball; leaving radio behind. The WPH is a sporting league for the extreme sport of handball.
