Life
In 20,000 characters!!??!! Holy cow! Let's see.
Graduated Madison, attended PCC/PSU, got married, joined the Army, spent year in a Vietnam (that was quite enough, thank you very much), spent next 18 months at tiny Army post outside of Virginia Beach, Va., had a baby (well I didn't, you understand, it was the wife!) in 1971, got out of Army, worked for daily newspaper in Portland, paper folded, began working for State of Oregon (Oregon Department of Transportation) in 1974, played "at" sports 'til I blew my knee out skiing and broke elbow playing racquetball, got divorced, became a Chr...Expand for more
istian, got remarried (thank you, Jesus!), started "doing" theater again (local community theater), became an elder in my church, retired, got hired back by ODOT. Now working half-time at ODOT, half-time at theater (volunteer), half-time at church (ditto volunteer) and half-time around the house (okay, so I never was any good at math--or time management!).
The rest of the time I'm just keepin' on keepin' on and having fun with my 16 grandkids (THAT'S a whole 'nother story that would take much more than 20,000 characters to tell [come to think of it they're all a bunch of characters])!
