Dave's Story

After Mt. Whitney my folks moved to Lake Tahoe in the fall of "64. I stayed in Visalia and went to COS for 2 years and then to Fresno State for a semester hated it and transfered to Chico State and got my degree. Got married to a gal that had gone to Redwood and moved to Lake Tahoe and went to work in a family business. Sold the business in 1973 and I started my own aircraft repair business at Lake Tahoe. I had gotten my pilots license will I was still in high school and got my mechanics license will I was at Chico. Moved my business to Minden, Nevada in 1977 and have been here ever since. s 33 and a step daughter who is 29 and a daughter 20 who is starting her junior year at the University of Nevada in Reno and just got married 2 weeks ago. For the last 20 years I have been teaching in a pilot training program that is put on by an aircraft owners group and we do 12 clinics a year all over the country and we have dine 3 clinics in Austraila and we are going do a clinic in Brazil after the first of the year. I get to do a lot of traveling. My wife Jan has worked for the school district for the last 10 years and decided about 6 months ago to give up her full time position and take a part time position, so now she can travel with me. Life is good.
