Dave's Story
Life
I have a lovely wife, Sharon. We've been married over 37 years and going strong. We have two married daughters and five grandkids.
I enjoy all kinds of hobbies and interests that I don't have enough time to pursue. Anyone esle have that problem? My interests run from scuba to stamp collecting, from four-wheeling to reading.
Since high school I've lived in Maryland, Colorado, California, Colorado, Virginia, and finally back to Colorado. I think Sharon and I will be finishing out our course here. All our kids and grandkids are here in the Denver area.
School
I attended Barnes and JFK junior highs before Fairmont East. The summer before my senior year at Fairmont East my dad was transfered to Andrews AFB by Washington DC. I finished my senior year in Maryland at Surrattsville Sehior High. To this day I consider Kettering my home town and myself a part of Fairmont East.
I really enjoyed my high school years and was involved with skiing, math team, some wrestling, and working as a paperboy, at Baskin Robbins, and an apartment gardener.
College

nded the Air Force Academy from 1971 to 1975 graduating with a BS in aeronautical engineering. It was a difficult program for me overall, constantly challenging and demanding more and more. However, it was a great education. But best of all, in my senior year I gave my life to Jesus Christ. He has made profound changes in my life ever since.
I went back to school from 1993-1995 at the University of Phoenix completing an MBA. This was much less challenging but also very satisfying. I really enjoyed the learning.
Workplace
After my time in the Air Force I have spent a career at Martin Marietta/Lockheed Martin. I started there in1981 and retired in 2008. Now I consult part-time and do some short term missions overseas.
Military
I was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the USAF on June 4th, 1975. I went of to Navigator training at Mather AFB in Sacramento, CA and then on the navigate KC-135Qs at Beale AFB, CA. I flew for six years with almost two dozen trips across the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. I resigned from the Air Force in May if 1981 as a Captain.
