Life
Feb 2009: Lots going on! Now fulltimer at Principal, living in DM proper (North of Grand neighborhood), playing all over and very busy with music and family stuff. Best to just catch updates on Facebook and my MySpace page (just add "/daverezek" after the myspace address...if I put the whole address here, Classmates won't let me save it).
Dec 2007: Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you all. We're all settled into our West Des Moines apartment, where we'll be for a little while (close to WDM family), but will look down the road at a house elsewhere in DM. Quite the different life, but loving it. So nice to have little Seth, now 2 (and us), near family again. Built in babysitters are a Godsend! During the day, I'm a QCI consultant (QA Lead / BA / Tester). I was working as a QA Lead with Wells / Jordan Creek until they just laid off nearly 400 contractors and FTE's, and I'm now at Principal downtown, again as a QA Lead. I've begun to get back into the DM music scene already, teaching HS students (3 of them at Hoover), giving clinics to the high schools, and I've subbed a bunch with the Des Moines Big Band out at the Adventureland Inn on Mondays. Hope to see you's guys around.

een debating coming to NYC & had thought about grabbing a drink/bite, or you just wanted to catch up, let me know asap! Hope you're all well...drop me a line sometime. We live right in Hell's Kitchen in the Theatre District / Times Square, so hangs are easy. Will see many of you at the 20th Reunion this August...looking forward to it! Peace -- Dave
March 2007: Living in Manhattan (NYC) with wife Lori and son Seth (Oct 2005); got M.M., Jazz Trumpet Performance, New England Conservatory (Boston) in 2000, moved to NYC in 2003 and now playing professionally in big bands (Secret Society, Sound Assembly, Jamie Begian big band), subbing on Broadway shows (most recently, Beauty & the Beast and Tony Award nominated/winning shows Jersey Boys, Grey Gardens, and now-closed Tony Award winning Gypsy and Threepenny Opera); working at Ernst & Young during the day; married UNI grad Lori (Graf) in July 1995; after teaching 4 yrs H.S., and being Lead Teacher at private bilingual preschool and working on her master's in French language & culture at Boston College & UNI, Lori's teaching K-5 French in NYC at private school; had a very hip, 14.5-yr old diabetic cat that sadly passed away in July 2006 -- we helped him through his diabetes for almost 3 years, but ultimately cancer arrived and took him.
