David's Story
Hi Folks -
Brief history - after graduation I went to the U for a couple of years, but was never into it. I visited my older brother living in San Francisco one spring break and was hooked. Quit school and moved out to SF. Ended up enlisting in the Navy to avoid getting drafted and going to Vietnam. That eventually got me to San Diego where I met my wife to be - Joyce.
Have been here ever since with a short stint in Palm Springs area during early 1980's. Finished college at U. California at San Diego (UCSD) and then a Masters in City Planning from San Diego State U....Expand for more
Have worked in Planning and Real Estate Development, but for l15 years was General Manager for two large community associtions. I have now been retired from work for one year.
Joyce and I have one adult son and like to travel, play tennis and see movies and plays. I am starting as a volunteer as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) with a group called Voices For Children). CASAs assist children who have been taken from their homes and are in the foster care system.
I have no more family left in Minneapolis, but hope to make it bac for the 50th reunion.
Dave
