David's Story
Life
After high school, I spent 6 and a half of some of the best years of my life in college, although not all of it was spent taking classes. I took time off here and there to fund college since my 5 years as a paperboy and 2 years flipping burgers only paid for the first year. Some of that "time off" was spent in the Air Force National Guard (which paid for a huge chuck of college) which I unfortunately joined just before the Gulf War. I finally graduated with my BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana in December 1995. Since then, I have worked for Motorola in Schaumburg, IL as an RF design engineer. My team and I are responsible for developing the transmitter infrastructure for Nextel and also for public safety networks.

f 2000. We had a lot in common, although her family was little more Italian than I was prepared for. We fell in love and after a few months of her nagging, I popped the question in July 2001. We got married in August of 2002 in front of about 450 people, 350 of which I did not know. However, I was assured that it was necessary to invite all of these people including my father-in-law's barber and 200 other people from the same small Italian village. After a few short months of marriage, Dina became pregnant, and then in August of 2003, I became a father to a little baby boy. He is named Dominic (after his grandfather, of course), and he is the best thing to ever happen to me.
Over the next several years, I plan to finish my MS in Electrical engineering, continue working for Motorola, and hopefully have about three more kids.
