David's Story
Joined the military a year after graduation. I was Air Rescue and Recovery with the 38th ARRS. Deployed to Southeast Asia, Vietnam in July of 1967 til August of 1968. Completed my enlistment by 1971 and continued my education. Married in 1975 and re-enlisted as a commissioned officer, the same year. Stayed in the Reserves and went active several times in a 30 year time span. Flew in HH-53's...Expand for more
and 54's helicopters as crew chief and in 1979, was trained to fly same helicopters. Sent to Granada, Panama, Desert Storm, Bosnia, and eventually stationed in Arizona to complete my 30 year retirement. Returned to California and reside in Orange County, at present. I volunteer working with developmently disabled adults with high functioning capablities in Assisted and Independent living.
