David's Story
Life
Hey there, hi there, ho there! Believe it or not, I'm still in the area. I live in Sadsburyville now. Actually, I'm Clinical Director for a mental health facility in Exton. I'm divorced now but I have two beautiful children Kayleigh & Jason (born '96 & 99 respectively).
Look me up at myspace.com/madnessofdave.
School
Ain't enough space to put all my thoughts on school. In short, I know I espoused the "Bad Attitude" ethic (FTS!) during most of school and tended to often...how to say it..."verbalize my displeasure." Oddly, I mostly have pleasant memories of school. I had many good times and, I like to think, many great friends who made school fun whenever possible. I think I'd do it over again, but I think I'd like to have had a little more confidence. Ok, make it "a lot more." I think everyone has some regrets and I know more than a couple of things I'd do differently.
I have plenty of goofy memories, but what comes to mind now are: throwing pencils out of Mr. Boyles' window during computer class, throwing chalk out the window, throwing my cassette out the window, throwing my Shakespeare book out the window - Jef Kuhn threw it back up (anyone seeing a pattern here?); flipping a double-bird behind Mrs. Endy's back; taking a Christmas tree up to Miss Stubinski...Expand for more
's room and the various kidnappings of "Fred" the rock; the day Mrs. Massarotti made the mistake of keeping half the class for detention - Tip: NEVER ask John Sieracki and I to clean a room; "Dave TV" spots with Dave Hemingway and Jim Atkinson and asking Mrs. Mundy if John R. Small II got a cut of her pay. (Well worth the withering look she gave me, too! LMFAO!)
The only teacher I can think of that I'd actually say inspired me in a particularly positive sense was Mr. Kershey. Mr. Renfrew, "Wee Willy" Hrisko and "You didn't phrase it in the form of a question" Helker all inspired me to stay away from science classes! I always liked Mr. Mull, of course, even though he type-cast me all the time.
Workplace
Well, I went to college, got my degree in communications (including an internship at WMMR!) and worked in radio (WLAN 96.9 Lancaster) for a very brief time. I got married and decided I needed a real job, so I worked in banking/mortgages for about 5 years. That was a mistake! I went back to school, got my MS and I'm now licensed and working as a Clinical Director for a mental health facility that treats acute mental health patients. I also see people individually at a college buddy's office a couple days a week. Still not sure what I'm going to do when (if) I grow up.
