David's Story

Life As would be expected I haven't changed much since school daze except for putting on another 100,watching hair grow out of my ears and back and pretty much doing the life thing. I did a 14yr. stint at Buster Brown where I learned to work hard and play harder. I finally found a woman that could stand me and got married in 89.We had the first of our heartbreakers the same year we bought a house. After complacency set in working at UPS I decided to do my own thing which regrettably only lasted a year but it was way cool working for myself plus the bizz was real interesting as well.I spent a year hauling band gear for a few rock bands and a theatrical production.I spent too much time on the road tho and wifewoman wasn't real happy being stuck with the first rugrat. Soooooooooo,I regrouped and found work a little closer to my own doorstep hauling petroleum products but found the dough rae me lacking. So I got my wife knocked up again just to prove I still could and that I had the ability to make pretty babies despite my own limited attractiveness! Some time after all this parenting I started hauling mobile medical labs(MRI,CT,PET)in NC and Va and I'm still doing it. I have recently ventured into working for myself again parttime and I'm getting stoked about the possibility of doing it more and driving less. And of course I'll be writing some books or short stories and political commentary for all the folksies out there that "just don't get it!" So in summary,I'm now 43,married with the 2 best looking daughters, living in Raleigh, building up some bizz of my own, working on my jeep, going 4 wheeling, camping, fishing, golfing, working, irrating my wife, annoying my d...Expand for more
aughters, drinking with my buds, hanging out at Hooters, sleeping on average 4hrs or less a day, working all night, keeping up with old friends, contemplating the future, forgetting too much of my past and just plain ol living! I have loved every minute of it all and wish the damn clock would slow down so I can catch my breath! It occurs to me that I have not updated my profile in 5 years as I am now 48 and according to this dribble I was 43 when I wrote it. I thought a lot of crap changed in my life from the time I was 16 until I was 21 but the last 5 years are working pretty good on topping that. I have given up my employee gig and have gone full tilt self employed. what the hell was I thinking when I was younger! Working for me is so much nicer than working for some one else! My oldest daughter is gonna be a rising senior at Millbrook and has been a cheerleader every year. Some of you nhave seen me at the ball games and I haven't quit being an out spoken fan. Because of my business I have been able to contribute to the betterment of Millbrook football and baseball by donating my time to help out. It feels really good to be able to give back. I haven't really "grayed" much but the extra "100"is still hanging around. My trophy wife and I will celebrate our 19th year of her being really patient and tolerant on april 22nd. She has now retired from the office grind and has chosen to come work for me. Or not! I'd like to say that I am extremely happy with my life. My family is doing very well. I'm involved with my friends as much as time allows and they know I got their back. I may be 48 but I don't feel it or look it. LIFE IS GOOD,IT'S ALL GOOD!
