David's Story
Life
After graduating from high school I headed off to college. Of course Uncle Sam really wanted me and insisted I join the military. After a 3 year tour in the US Army between 1973 and 1976, 2 years of which were spent in Italy, I joined the US Department of State where I worked in Information Technology. I have done assignments in Ghana, Mexico and London. I have traveled to more than 2/3rds of the countries around ...Expand for more
the world. I eventually ended up as the head of the Department of State's Enterprise Network Management Operations division.
I retired from the Department of State in November of 2004. I then went to work with Northrop Grumman providing network management engineering services and retired from there in 2010. I now work part time consulting on IT project and program management and IT security for the Department of State.
