what more than halfway towards conquering the Grand Canyon South Rim hike. The 2 days after this one were brutally cold though, and stormy, hiking from the rain on up into the snow. Perhaps my last big adventure, but maybe not. Say hi if you remember me.

This bird apartment house had dozens of baby-filled nests and was swarming with swallows(??). There is a pickup truck way, way in the background, just sitting there. My bet was it was Park Service with powerful binoculars w

Mountain goats along the Beartooth Highway. Beautiful highway rises to almost 11,000 feet.
I don't remember what kind of deer this is.
If you look closely, you'll see that it was raining.

Traffic could be a problem.

An antelope of some sort, I think.
Hundreds of these. They are the purest American bison; other bison have interbred with other species.
