David's Story
David was born in Newark, New Jersey but grew up in Florida. David's schools include Stranahan High School, Rollins College, University of Oslo (Norway), University of Florida Medical School, Internal Medicine and Cardiology fellowships at Grady Memorial Hospital (Atlanta) and the University of Florida. David founded the Jacksonville Cardiovascular Clinic and the Jacksonville Center for Clinical Research and practiced clinical cardiology for 25 years. David developed six cardiac rehabilitation centers throughout North Florida. David retired in December 2000.
David and Kathy Anne Geller (North Miami HS) met in college and have been married since June 1965. They have three grown sons, two daughters-in-law and three grandchildren. They now live most of the year in Frisco, Colorado where they enjoy skiing, hiking and biking and the numerous art and music festivals in "The High Country." They have also enjoyed international adventure travel including Africa, New Guinea, West and Central Europe, the Balkans, South America, Southeast Asia, Tibet, Russia, the Caribbean, Mexico, Antarctica, Israel, and the state parks of Western United States.
Music David likes includes Chet Baker, Stan Getz, Tony Bennett, Emmylou Harris, Leonard Cohen.
Books David likes include Don DeLillo, Philip Roth, Shakespeare, Cormac McCarthy, Virginia Woolf, and Tolstoy. Movies David likes include Manhattan, The English Patient, Groundhog Day, On the Waterfront, Alfred Hitchcock and French New Wave movies of the 40's and 50's.
TV shows David likes include Breaking Bad, Mad Men, The Wire, Deadwood, The Sopranos, Downton Abbey, Homeland and any sports telecast.
Since 1963 his hobby has been photography.
