David's Story
I was born in Spencer, WV. Grew up on a farm, went to college. I've been married twice, the first was short lived. The second, we've been together for 22 years now. I have always loved music. My mom would find me banging on her pots and pans. I guess that's why she and dad bought me a guitar at first. Then they bought me my first drumset. Lord have mercy, I've been going strong ever since. Retired CDL driver. Currently living in Alexandria, VA. I'm still playing drums, along with guitar, bass, keyboards. I've writen some music and record drum, guitar, bass & vocals tracks for various artist. Emerald City, Ric Morris, Paul Knapp, Felipe Rose, The Smoke Tree Band, The Sweet Tea Band, Mar's Band, DC Overdrive, The Old Skool Band. Currently I perform with a praise band in church.
All the above musicians and bands are top of the line. Each person is a professional artist. It has been my priviege to perform with these folks. I'm married to Karen D. Mitchell, we have two children, five grandchildren, and one great grandson. They are our blessings. We are so proud of all of them.
Music: I enjoy all types, just not so much on rap. Favorite music groups; short list; include: ELP, Rush, Bill Monroe, Buddy Rich, Manard Fergusson, Jars of Clay, Third Day just to name a few. Movies: All "Rush Hour" , "Lethal Weapon", anything with John Wayne, Comedies. Books: The Bible, anything electronic, self improvement.
