A cute little garter snake (about 9" and as thick as a pencil), just curled up on a broken tree above the Wolf River above Lily, WI. Didn't seem to notice Luke Piccione and I getting inn the water right next to "his?" stump.
I've caught some STRANGE things in the Wolf River (a wallet, that actually belonged to a friend of the family, a horseshoe) but this is as strange as any of them. The owner can come forward and claim please. I snagged it at
