David's Story
Life
These are two of my grand-sons. I have two more grand-sons and two grand-daughters.
Military
Eleven days after graduating from Brablec I celebrated my eighteenth birthday at Fort Knox, Ky.,from there I spent three months at Fort Leonardwood, Mo. After all my traing was through I spent the next twentyone months in Viet Nam. While in Viet Nam I was stationed wit...Expand for more
h the 515th asphat platoon as a mechanic on the asphalt plant. When I returned to the states I was stationed again as permanent party at Fort Knox Ky. were I served out the rest of my active duty.
I retired from the Illinois National Guard in 2003 and from my DOD job.
I retired as a SFC in the 1344th Transportation of the Illinois National Guard.
