David's Story
Life
Greeting to all that remembers. After High School, I went and worked on a building a gas pipeline from Borger to Dallas. After that was completed I went to work at Natco for about 7 years. After the oil field had pretty well shut down I enlisted into the U.S. Army and spent a total of 8 years in the military. In the military I saw a lot of different places in the world and during my stay of 9 months in Operation Desert Shield / Storm, I was a M1A1 tank driver with the 2nd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment. I also was the Nuclear, Biological, Chemical Warfare Specialist and the Combat Medic...Expand for more
for my Armored Tank Crew. After the War, I was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and I re-enlisted and was stationed with the 3rd Armored Cavalary Regiment. After I got out of the military I went to work for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in Plainview, TX and that is where I still am. I am the Transportation / Armory Officer and my other duties with the agency is that I am a Chemical and Firearms Instructor for the Agency as well. I take life one day at a time and enjoy every moment of that day and night. I am a member of the Elks lodge here in Plainview and love to "chill out".....
