David's Story
Life
You can reach me at addvali at the Y! place. First I went to St. Margaret Mary Elementary School. My best friends there were Mike Ford and Tony Ruberto. Then on to Sherwood, where I found a love of music, yet I lost my direction in every other way. After a year I regained my focus and enrolled at MacNab. After MacNab I went to Sheridan College for Graphic Design, but that got me nowhere FAST. I decided to return to Sherwood to upgrade my OAC's. I enrolled in McMaster University where I finally finished my education. Immediately after graduation I quickly rose through the ranks of the IT industry at various Canadian and U.S. Telecoms and Consulting firms. I work as the Managing Business Systems Analyst for Saudi Aramco, the Saudi national oil company. I totally love my job because I work with great people. I live in Houston, Texas. My most important role is being a Daddy. My beautiful daughter was born in 2000 and I was blessed again in 2003 with the arrival of our healthy little boy (Poor guy, he was born an American!). Every dream I had growing up has come true. I have a wonderful home near the Gulf of Mexico and am able to indulge in my love of cars and travel. But even though I'm far from home, I'm still Canadian at heart, and I miss being there. I miss Tim Horton's, the distinct seasons, the intangibles of Canadian society. I'm desperately trying to figure out a way to move ...Expand for more
back home but keep making U.S. dollars... hmmmmm. My ex-wife, Cathy (also a Hamiltonian) remain great friends, and she and her new husband live just a few miles dows the road. I've lucky to have met the most wonderful in my life, my wife, Angela. She is a doctor currently completing her internship. She is brilliant, beautiful and sexy. With wonderful children, a loving wife and great friends I know that I am the luckiest man in the world.
I've often wondered what happened to all my friends from Âthe beach at Sherwood. I'd love to hear from any of my old friends.
School
Biggest crush: Colleen Callaghan, from grade 3 until... present.
Best Teacher: Mr. Dave Morrison, Art teacher at Sherwood. Just a super-nice guy.
Favourite Teacher: Ms. Barbara Frasier, English teacher at Sherwood but not for her teaching ability.
Girl I never dated but wish I did: Krista Nelligan, Kim Mills
Girl I dated but wish I hadn't: Sheena Chapman
Most important person during high school: Shirley Cheers (no contest)
Best Moment: Graduation
Worst Moment: Finding out Tami Moore died on Christmas Eve in a house fire. Finding out Lisa Airth had died of leukemia.
College
I went to McMaster University, in Hamilton. My friends there were Grace Jensen and Angel (can't remember her last name!). I've often wondered what happened to those two. They were great friends and we had a lot of laughs together
