David's Story

Life My daughters, Dena and Laura are doing well. Dena is in her first year of college and Laura is a sophomore (2006-07) at La Costa Canyon HS, where I teach science, mostly advanced chemistry. I still play soccer but have retired from coaching. I've been in the San Diego area since 1984 and teaching HS science since 1978. First in the Greece Central School District in Rochester, then out here. I took a sabbatical in '99-'00 and spent a year in Istanbul, Turkey teaching chemistry and traveling around that part of the world. I love it there, the people are some of the best anywhere. ips to Costa Rica to study rainforest conservation. My bit to change the destructive path we are on. I hope there is something left for my grandkids. We sit at home and consume massive amounts of energy and materials while the rest of the world swells to soon 9 billion. I miss Johnny Peers. I see Bakes once in a while, lost track of Peter Dougherty when I went to Turkey. I have really, really enjoyed our reunions and hope the upcoming one will be just as great. I hope that the people that have rarely or even never come will change their minds and come by for a few hours (or more) to catch up and say hi. Much love, David
