David's Story
Here's my story:
I set up this clasmates thing years ago and never looked again until today. I like the quote from Woody Allen "Life is what happens to you while you are making other plans." I kicked around until 1979 when I married a wonderful woman from Ekins WV while I was working at the Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth Virginia. We then moved to Fredericksburg where I worked as a Tool and Die Maker for General motors until they closed the plant in 2008 when I was forced to retire after 30 years of working 12 hour shifts most of the time. Debra and I instantly became a Grand Dad at 25 years old :) We were going to celebrate our 42nd anniversary 14 September.. Now it's just me and my cat Cleopatra. I joined Ancestry.com and re-ignited the Classmates.com for a few months to see what happened to some relatives and a few people I knew back in school. ( Here comes a TMI blurb: I am 67 this year and I expect to last a few more years, GOD willing. I have type II diabetes for the past 30 years and my Pancreas caused a great deal of trouble about 15 years ago - but a Doctor Piper in Alexandria operated and I credit him for my surviving to this day. ) We shall be in Heaven soon enough if I am reading World events correctly.
