Life
My Spouse
.
When I was at RMA in the tenth grade (1962) a fella from Scottsdale showed us his school yearbook which contained fotos of an extraordinarily high percentage of beautiful blonde girls. I vowed then that someday I would get to Scottsdale to see for myself - BEFORE I got married.
In ~1980 a cute blonde under a cowgirl hat with a Great Smile asked me to dance at the Bluegrass Country Saloon in Scottsdale.Kathryn and I woke up the next day (seems like); we were married and had two boys !
Our Pets
We place quail blocks on a wooden, raised surface in our backyard, sun-flower seeds in hanging feeders and have three hummingbird feeders. We use binoculars to watch the critters. Once or twice a month: around 08:30 and 14:30 a Merlin swoops through and grabs one of the 20 -> 30 Mourning doves. We also have Incas, Paloma Colorado and (non-wintering) White-wing doves along with the sparrows, finches, Albert's towhees, catbirds, thrashers, cactus wrens ~ 30 Gamble's quail, ~ 8 grey, California Rock squirrels, ~ 12 Round-tail squirrels, Whiptail and Fence lizards and many hummingbirds; mainly Anna's. Red-tailed as well as Harris hawks, coy...Expand for more
otes and bobcats prey on the mammals.
We have 1 1/2 acres now in Apache Junction near the western base of the Superstition mountains.
Our Kids
We are very lucky to have two great boys. Ma Honey decided "That was it" after Mark and almost died having her tubes tied. Anyway, John is 28 (in 2009), was born in San Francisco and is a stubborn non-conformist. His brother Mark is 27 (in 2009) and a USArmy combat engineer - like his Grandpa Rudy. He survived 3 tours in Iraq and is now a drill instructor in Columbus, SC. John is training in auto repair and Mark wants to (eventually) be an Apache (AH-64) pilot (both went to Montessori schools, got to fly and have a "free" attitude).
My Job
Fun !!
Electronics doesn't change much, but there's always a faster, smaller, lighter or more economical way to get the job done. All of my jobs have used combinations of both digital and analog processes. Check out my Classmates; Job History and photos by (upper right of Home Page) performing a "People", "Dave", "Janecek", "Search".
Now working in Scottsdale for RadioData Corp with RFIM (Radio Frequency Internet (Based) Monitoring).
