David's Story
Life
I've been in Atlanta since 1997 when
I left Durham, NC, my home for
nearly 15 years. I'm on the faculty at
Emory University, teaching theology. I
taught similar "practical and applied"
theology courses at Duke for many
years, helping students get engaged
in public issues such as health care,
the environment, affordable housing,
community building...Expand for more
. After graduating
from LCHS I went to Duke whre I
studied religion, then worked in
Boston and Denver, did a graduate
degree at Yale, worked in London
and Paris, returned to Duke for a
Ph.D. I visit Las Cruces less often
now that both Mom and Dad have
died, but will still return a few times a
year. My brother, Tom, teaches at
NMSU. Be in touch.
