David's Story

After high school I continued working in retail four more years. I worked my way in to a good management job. One day the manager gave me too much hassle, I looked out the front window of that TG&Y store, and there was a black Peterbilt, covered in chrome, (my favorite color) taking off from the traffic light, black smoke rolling down both sides of the trailer. I decided, thats for me! I returned to Mcalester a few months later and started learning to drive. Seems natural since all I did in school was drive around and listen to my 8 track. I drove for Zenith Electronics for 10 years, Chrysler for 8 years. Those were my...Expand for more
best two jobs. I am currently driving for the local feed co. We do things a little more laid back, which is fine with me. I have seen most of the country, twin towers, statute of liberty, and one morning after spending a terrible night crossing Donner pass, I rolled across the Golden gate. I spend most of my time in Texas, and guess it is my favorite place to drive. I still listen to a lot of the same stuff that blaired out of my Camaros, ZZ, Skynyrd, Waylon, Van Halen, Ozzie, at least with CDs there is no more doulbe tracking we all usedto live with. Now that the gov. controlls GM, I drive a FORD! How things change.
